Today we are leaving on our annual trip to visit Pilot Light projects in Africa, currently Rwanda and Uganda. We would love to have you come along, by following my daily blog (internet allowing) during the trip. I will be posting photos, telling stories about our adventures and reporting on the progress of our projects.
My hope is that, though the blog, you will feel more connected to and with greater understanding about the work we are doing. This trip is not always easy, but it is always interesting, so join us!
Feel free to comment on the posts. Your input is invaluable to us!

Do you do this trip every year? When do you do next year?
Yes, I do go every year and will be back in July this time.
Dear Levy,
I am from Uganda, am writing to inform you about my work to end extreme poverty and hunger as way to conserve environment in communities adjacent to the park. I with my team and other conservation and development partners work together to identify and recruit Batwa Pygmies, reformed poachers women and youth for training and supporting in sustainable income generating projects. We work to make sure that people benefit from tourism and get free from poverty and hunger. We are located in Kanungu District in Buhoma village at the head quarters of Bwindi Conservation Area. We are working with 350 farmers in Mushroom bee keeping, fish farming and vegetable growing. Our approach to end poverty and hunger is to demostrate to farmers multprojects and they make choices on which project canbest suit their resources through our advice. We make sure that farmer who recive our training are supported with start up seeds in form of revolving loans. We help them to access market especially tourism maket in Bwindi Lodges. We help our beneficiaries grow their food security and income through financial management trainings and farmer to farmer out reach programe. We organise group tranings and individual farmer based support and assist them to sure that when they make income they take their children to school.
At CIBIC facts speak much louder than words. I therefore take this opportunity to invite you to our site.
Sincerely,
