We had a very productive day. We met with the Mayor of Juba who liked our project very much and told us that he would help us procure the land we will need. This is particularly wonderful, because it allows us to skip a timely step of submitting an application for land. We met with two security companies to obtain quotes for 24 security for our equipment and a contractor to get a quote on the construction of the small structure(s) we will need on our land to house the machinery and for storage. We are very lucky to have friends in the local government helping us through this process or it would be impossible.
There is much work to be done in the planning and execution of this project. We will need to spend more time here in the near future. Tomorrow we travel to Kigali, Rwanda.
